Aston Weston Carlsen is here!

Kevin's niece Ari'Elle had her babe yesterday. He weighed 7lbs 11 oz and 19 inches long. We got to go and see him and hold him today. What a cutie. He has a lot of light brown hair and was VERY sleepy.

Kya was excited to see him. She is 5 months older than him and yet they are not too different in size. She is growing and this picture proved to to me. She smiled at the sight of him. They are going to be best buds. Ari'Elle is doing well and Weston is already the paranoid Dad, lol. Cute Cute.

Here is another pic of Ka'Lya and her beautiful eyes and perfect lips. Love her so much.

Congratulations Kee'Onu!

This is the poster I made for Kee to run for 5th grade senator. He came home on Thursday and told me he wanted to run and that the voting was the NEXT DAY! Ahhhh. I freaked out. My mom was on the phone and heard my panic. She did not feel good that day, but put that aside and came over to help. It was so nice because she held our little spoiled Kya the whole time! I went in the scrapbook room and me, my mom and Kee brainstormed into this as his slogan....."Your Key to Open Doors" I was pretty proud, given the time frame. The poster turned out great and I love my Cricut! When he got to school they had an assembly and it was there that Kee was told he had to give a speech. He totally winged it and did a little dance at the end. The students loved it and he WON!
The new student government officers are:

Mohan Sudabattula -8th Grade Student Body President
Taylor McNees- 7th Grade Vice President
Jay Shah- 8th Grade Senator
Kendra Muller- 7th Grade Senator
Brigham Jewkes- 6th Grade Senator
Kee'Onu Fuller -5th Grade Senator

So he is in a Presidency for the whole school totalling 6 people. He came home saying he gets to plan dances and help to demolish bullying. I am so proud of him. Words cannot express. I love him so much and he says he wants to be just like his Mama! I loved student government my entire life. Being involved was the greatest feeling. Making a difference and feeling pride in my school. I took that with me to the U of U and was in their orientation team for ALL new students. Once in nursing school I decided to become Student Nursing Alliance President. That was a full time job in itself, not to mention school and 4 little kids. I think this is where the importance of education and being involved was taught to my kids. I hope they know these things are so important to me. I feel like some of the parenting we are doing is paying off. Love Kee so much!

Granny's "SWORDS" dinner!

So my grandma has a club of sorts that she belongs to. SWORDS stands for single, widowed, OR divorced. It is a group of ladies that range from 72 to 92. My mom decided to have a dinner for them all. It was so fun to see my grandma's friends. I loved helping cook the meal. It reminded me of my waitressing days.
My dad made homemade pasta noodles and they were delish! My mom made her famous monkey bread, mmmmmm!

These are all the ladies.

Me and my mom work well together!

I had to show off the fettuccine Alfredo with blackened chicken breast and shrimp scampi. My mom made a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. She also had the groups pictures put in frames for them all to take home. It was awesome. Her theme was roses so everything was red and beautiful. Including the chair covers and the napkins. We love you grandma! Thanks for always being there for us. It was nice to be there for you.
