Dinner at Mom and Dad's.

Nothing new, Oh besides the fact that the ginger does not work anymore!!! I just thought I would at least post and let you all know that I am alive. We went to my moms house for dinner and it was lovely. She is almost all done with it and because of that she likes to cook. in her new gourmet kitchen. Thank goodness for that!!!. My Dad made a wonderful prime rib, which I have never eaten before, and let me say it was so good. Too bad it came back up, but at least I got to enjoy it for the time being. I gave my mom her new house gift.....A scentsy warmer with the Baked Apple Pie Scent. I was happy that she loved it so much. I love mine it fills the house with a wonderful scent. Anyways thanks so much for the dinner Mom and Dad it was great! I love you guys soooooo much!!!

Ginger to the rescue.

Kevin woke up on Friday and decided he did not want his wife in bed complaining about nausea anymore!!! So he looked online for secret nausea remedies and such. He found that ginger, lemon and honey are old ways to battle the vomitous nature of the pregnant lady. He came home with fresh ginger, ginger tablets, honey and ginger powder stuff. I always roll my eyes at his non medication nature. He got that from his Dad who hates docs and drugs. Two of the things that I have found to save me from my wretchful pregnant life. Anyways, I took it reluctantly and had the best day that I have had in 10 days. It may have been my psychological response to the remedy but either way I was able to make dinner, clean the kitchen, feed all the WJ police officers baked potato soup, and even light a fire in the bedroom (wink, wink) if you know what I mean! So I took another ginger thing before bed and was able to go to the grocery store, sadly I dry heaved in the aisle of store and embarrassed Ku'uipo. She looked up at me with panic in her eyes asking me if I needed a drink. I could not respond because I was concentrating on breathing. Kevin came back from the aisle with ginger snaps, convinced that any form of ginger would do! By the time we got home I needed a nap and another ginger deal. Well it worked for the sutle nausea but today it is not as promising. Maybe because I am soooooo tired!?! I just love Kevin for trying and maybe it will work, but I know I may need to pull out the big guns that my doc prescribed me. He does not want me to have a PICC line so he says take the pills if needed. I will save those for when I am not keeping anything down and the dehydration is bad, but as for now the ginger is the real deal!

Pickle Strike!

I cannot believe that I am already pregnant sick. I mean I layed in bed nearly all day. I am exhausted and nauseated. I think it is bad because I am working nights and it takes me like 2 days to catch up on sleep. I was so wanting pickles at work the other night and of course there is no food place open at work, so I called my honey Kevin and he brought me those big fat pickles from Maverik. I ate a ton and 8 hours later they came back up and out. I cannot stand to think about them or smell them. Ke'Lao wanted one tonight and I could not bear it. So no pickles! Yuck.

Picture Tag!

Shauna tagged anyone and so I took it. The fourth picture in my fourth folder.

This is way funny. Kevin and I had some fun in New York taking pictures of people, all types, beautiful, scary, unique and well...strange. This man carried a woman's red purse and I thought it was funny so I took a pic.

I tag anyone who wants to participate.

Witch Hotties and ghouls!

We went to the Witch Festival thingy at Gardner Village. I was hoping the kids would be able to pick a pumpkin there. I am not sure why I thought there would be a pumpkin, but that is what I told them we were doing. It was so cold that we only took pictures, and went into a few shops, much to the dismay of the owners who did not like our brood of people, or miniature people. When we were leaving our kiddies kept saying where is the pumpkins? I told them the pumpkin patch would have to be on Monday since the witches do not have anymore left! All the kiddies that came on our adventure. It is all my kids, Brittnie's kids, and Kee'Onu's friend Connor and Ku'uipo's friend Lexy.
My Ki'Aja looking so sweet and cute.
This is a family picture that Brittnie took, but when we looked at it we realized that there is a woman in our picture....Well hello woman!
Kee'Onu I assume playing dead.
Oh here is the lovely family. They are all my loves!
Sexy Brittnie, she looks good as a witch!!!
Me and Brittnie with the witch.
I know I am hot!!!!

Crazy fun pics.

This is Ke'Lao trying to fit into Kee'Onu's way too big hockey equipment. He cannot wait until he can play himself. January I think he will start the smart start skate program. He will be fire on the ice!
This is Ku'uipo before school. her hair looked so pretty after I took out the french braids that I had to take a pic and post it!
So this is going to become the famous "Were having another baby pic" This is the face of Kee'Onu and Ku'uipo when they finally understand all of our clues. Sasha is in the middle and at this point she still did not get it. We bought the kids a mini baby's first Christmas stocking stuffed with baby bottle pops, a jar of baby food, mini bubbly glasses, baby cheese, baby candy bars, etc. Kee'Onu understood right away and when he did he eyes lit up. Excuse the red eyes because that is the nature of my lovely camera.
This is kids trying to figure out what the clues are all about. We told them on Kevin's birthday and then we called all the family that wasn't there and told them.

Edward and Bella.

I know most of my family will laugh at me for this post but they are just jealous that they cannot read a book and get so involved in it that your imagination takes you to a place that you never thought possible. Anyways, I love the Twilight series books. I am not obsessed and I have only read them each once--All within 10 days, but besides that I love the books and the characters and the idea of it all. So as I was driving the long drive today to get my kids from school and the song by Matt Nathanson came on and I realized that it would be perfect for the Twilight movie and Bella and Edwards story of love! So I put the song on so you can all hear the words and remember the love of two people. Now I want to be able to read the Book of Mormon as fast as I read these. Goal #1.

Tell me what you all think, am I just weird???

Pregnant life update---This morning I woke up nauseated got out of bed, brushed my teeth and found that the dry heaving gag was inevitable. I have a fear of vomiting, I believe it is because I have no control over what my body is doing. The uncontrollable stomach retching is awful. I need to find a way to get over the fear of this. You would think after 4 very sick pregnancy's I would be over it, but after today, Um that would be a NO!

Best Buds!

Since Keo has started school Aja has had a hard time adjusting to the fact that her playmate is gone. It is sad for her but yet I am finding that it is a wonderful time for Kev and I to play with her and dote on her. She sure does enjoy that. She also gets so excited to go and drive the 25 minutes to pick them up. Too bad that she falls asleep nearly everyday in the car. What a sweet joy she is.

So since I am pregnant here is some venting that I must do. I have to give myself painful shots everyday twice a day. For those of you who do not know, I have a clotting disorder that was discovered when I was pregnant with Ki'Aja. It can be life threatening and in order to prevent blood clots I have to give myself shots, IN THE STOMACH, where the baby is, it is awkward but a must. I usually have the lovenox but the shots are $2200 a month, and my portion of that is $440. So I had to do the mail order 3 month supply and it is only $87. I am so thankful for insurance! The lovenox is not here yet, so In the meantime I have to give myself heparin shots, which are painful. My tummy is already black and blue, due to the blood thinner. So the lovenox should be here this week and that will be good and less painful.

I am exhausted and the early signs of nausea are beginning. I have what I call pass-out moments where I see a bed and cannot resist to lay down and fall asleep. This can be dangerous with 4 children running around. So I have to stay far away from the bed when I am supposed to be the mom. But again sometimes it happens and my kiddies are amazing at playing by themselves, like in the hose so they flood the sandbox, and the neighbors yard, in the cereal which is spilled everywhere on the floor, in paint, fingernail polish, on the phone calling 911, and you name it...They have done it when I fall asleep. So hopefully the energy will return and then I can return to being the mom.

Looks like one of Kevin's Little guys got through!!!!!!

So we found out about a week and a half ago that we are having BABY #5!!! I am so happy! I have to say that not everyone or hardly anyone is happy about it, partly because of Ki'Aja and the traumatic delivery and the nearly loss of life, (MINE) that is. But we are happy. We told the kids tonight and they are happy. If I learn how to upload video I will show you all their reactions. Here is what the kids are thinking we are having:

Ke'Lao: Boy and a Girl.... I wish it was twins- We would love to have twins!

Kee'Onu: Girl

Ku'uipo: Girl

Ki'Aja: Baby then she said it was a girl.

Kev and I think it is a boy. I do not care what it is, I just want it to be here and safe and healthy. I will use this blog as a way to update you all and to vent about my hopefully wonderful pregnancy and lovely vomiting that may begin soon, but hopefully will not!

So baby #5 is due June 08, 2009. According to my lovely Doctor it most likely will come earlier since all 4 of my kiddies were premature, so maybe a May baby, possibly even another April--We shall see. Now, my main stress is finding a name, it has to have so many criteria to fit, thanks to KEVIN. It has to start with a K, it has to have a 3 letter nickname, it has to have a place for an apostrophe, and it has to have a Hawaiian or Polynesian background (even though Aja's does not it still sounds like it could be) for instance:

Kee'Onu----Kee, Ku'uipo----Ipo, Ke'Lao----Keo, Ki'Aja---Aja. I am serious that this is a huge stress! If you have any suggestions we would love to hear it. I think and think and pray about my kids names, so I have to start early to be sure it is the right one. So help and suggest please, I will take them all into consideration. Love you all!

Happy Birthday Kevin Troy!

My Dear Love is 32 today. He is at work and wont be home until tonight but I wanted everyone to know that he is a year older and even more wise! If you get a chance call him to wish him a happy birthday. He doesn't like parties and so we are just doing the cake and ice cream thing with the fam. Let me just name several reasons why I love him so very much.....

  • He always makes me laugh. I love when he laughs so hard it looks like he doesn't have any eyes.

  • He is the best dad. He wrestles with the kids (although sometimes he doesn't even know his own strength and the kids end up crying to mommy), he takes every moment to teach the kids even if it is 10PM and they are supposed to be in bed! He was the mom to the kids for 2 years while I was in nursing school, and he even painted nails and attempted to do the girls hair.

  • He has a deep rooted testimony of the gospel. He has unwavering faith that keeps me afloat when my own will not. He gets excited about sharing the gospel and teaching others what he knows.

  • He works hard for us everyday. Even when he does not want to.

  • He SHINES! He is a light in our life and laughter in our home. I love him so much! I cannot wait to grow old with him or he can grow old and I will just watch. Ya that sounds good!

Love you so much Kevin. Here is a message from each kid on your lovely birthday.

Ke'Lao: I love Daddy because he makes me macaroni, he lets me have ice cream. I love him cause he lets me watch TV. He throws spiderman at me and I punch him.

Kee'Onu: Happy Birthday, I love you because he helps our city and he helps us clean and he buys me games, and he paintballs with me.

Ki'Aja: Love Dinner. Lets me talk on phone.

Ku'uipo: I love you Daddy because you wrestle with me, and you play with me.

Happy Birthday to me 30!!!!

Officer Julian, and Tuatagaloa
My sweet Aja.
My Granny and me.
This is what my dear Branson gave me for my Birthday. These are pictures he took in New York and I love them.
Crazy Stacie with a knife.
This is the sweet card that all the kids made me.
Love my Mom and Dad!
Alisha, Cami, and I.
Breanne and me.
Kevin and Keo. He is mad about something and it makes me laugh.
My lovely brother.

Well I feel old. I do not know what it is about having a problem growing older, but I do. I turn 30 today. I told Kevin all that I wanted for my birthday was a party with my friends and family. He told me all week stuff that was quite rude, like, "that is way too much planning, I just want to go to dinner." I was sad. Then he had this elaborate plan to make me stay at my mom and dads while he went back and forth to get plumbing parts, and really he was going shopping for the party and coming home to cook. Then when I came home, there were my lovely friends and family. SURPRISE! I cannot believe he pulled it off. My mom too. She is usually the worst liar and yet she pulled it off.

I have to say it was so perfect. Thanks so much to Kevin, Cami, Alisha, and my mom! They made it perfect. I have a wonderful family and the best friends! Thanks everyone. You made turning older easier.

Body World's.

Cami, Alisha, and I have always wanted to go to the body's exhibition. We wanted to go while we were in New York, but it did not work out. Then we decided to go to St. George and take one day, stay in Vegas, and go to the show. Well as you can read below that did not work out. We went all the way to Vegas, went and checked in and found out the show had closed up the night before. All that way, and the show had been there for over a year. Our luck was bad. Anyways when we found out that it was going to be here we planned a girls night out in Salt Lake. We got a hotel room at the Little America. It was a very nice room. We went to dinner and then in the morning we went to the show. It was fun and nice and a good break. Oh and the show was awesome. I learned so much about the human body. It will definitely help me with my nursing career.

St. George.

When Kevin went to Alaska I decided that I would take the kids on a lovely trip with my dear friend Cami and her kids. I have no clue what was I thinking???? CRAZY! This was the hardest trip I have ever been on. I cannot say we did not have fun but when I think of this trip I cringe and want to throw up....It was that bad. I realized I need Kevin. It was like 113 degrees there and my kiddies were feeling it.

Notice in all the Ke'Lao pictures he is making a face of some sort. That is Keo, never conforming.

Here is the kids enjoying the rain. You would think they have never seen water before! They were so cute here and then who knows what happened. We stayed at Cami's dads beautiful house and that really stressed me out because my kids are beasts. Plus I wanted it to stay clean and then Ke'Lao knocked over a lamp and dented in the shelf. I got really good really fast at patchwork. I was proud of my work but then we did not have paint to match so her dad had to do that part. I felt so bad! Then Kee'Onu decided to be a teenager and that was the worst part. Talkin back, being mean, crying, angry, you know, teenage stuff! Oh it was awful and Kevin was trying to help and teach and guide over the phone 2,000 miles away. Did I mention it was awful?

House For Sale!!

Well it is a long story and we really have only told our immediate family, but we are going to try and sell the house. I have to say that after many prayers and Kevin's unwavering faith, (I am a little weaker at this point) we have found a lot near my moms house in South Jordan. It is in a wonderful ward and neighborhood. My kids already have a ton of friends there and we will live houses away from my mom and dad. Plus it is closer to the kids' school. I have to say I am sad to leave our wonderful happy home. We love our house, I cannot help but think of all the hard work that everyone put into this home. Kevin, my dad, and all the other family that spent many nights here, helped to create our home. We have decided to do the same thing again. I know we are brainless! I swore I would never never be an owner builder again, but you save way to much money doing it this way.

I know the market is awful and I know that it is a buyers market....but I cannot deny the answer to my prayer, so house for sale....I think I should actually say, "HOME for Sale!" If any of you have someone looking for a house let us know.

Happy Birthday Alisha!!!!!!

Alisha had a wonderful birthday long ago, and again we celebrated it late. We went to the Cheesecake Factory, mmmm! It was yummy and I loved it. I hope she did. It is always nice to get together and celebrate. I met Alisha in Nursing School and I am so glad we are friends. Cami, Alisha, and I have been through a lot together, and we are always there for each other. We are Diva Nurses--I just made that nickname up, maybe it will stick. We have traveled to several places together and the funniest was when we went to New York and she told me I could not pick my nose because it might be a gang sign and then we might get shot! She was serious and I had to laugh. Happy 29th Birthday Alisha, Love you.

My Stacie

My dream girl Stacie.
I decided to add a post just for Stacie. I love what my Stacie has given me in this life. We met in elementary school and as time flew, our marriage has grown to ten years and four incredible children. I have to thank Stacie for that. She has given so much of herself to bring these children into this world. My Stacie is the greatest mom and wife. She is spontaneous and fun. I am so grateful to have her. I have never been so blessed in my life until I married Stacie Dawn. I feel comforted and strong to know that such an incredible women chose me to be her man. I am so lucky that she chose me. I always have discussions about perfection with Stacie and she always thinks things about herself could be better but in my eyes, Stacie, and this life that I have with Stacie, is exactly what perfection is. Just look above and you can see what I mean. Perfect! I love you babe.

Alaskan Bear Story called The Death of us all, or so we thought.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, gather around and hold tight to the driver car seat. Not because you need to go to the bathroom and can not hold it anymore but because the story of your life is about to start. It was a beautiful morning at the Klutina river in the midst of the Alaskan wilderness. I was going fishing for the big King Salmon, (the biggest of all river fish). Don (Stacie's dad), my friend Mike and I were having a slow morning trying to catch these suck wad kings but I am very stubborn so I did not give up. Don felt sleepy so he went to a nearby tree and made a comfy seat in the dirt and fell asleep leaning against the tree. I looked out into the river and saw a river raft drifting down the white rapids. The people inside the raft were looking in our direction. The people then started to take pictures of us. I wondered why? I was not all dolled up or anything, I was just fishing for goodness sakes. Shortly after the raft took the pictures, the woman on the raft yelled "BEAR"! I looked behind me and saw a black bear three feet away from Don. Don apparently heard the women yell BEAR as well because I have never seen anybody move so fast as he did. He sprung up out of his cozy bed like a spring chicken. He ran straight into the river for safety. Well there is not any safety in the river because bears swim you know. At the same time Don sprung up the bear was startled and ran into the forest about ten feet away. I realized that my backpack and camera was over by Don's bed. Me and Don had a wonderful idea to sneak over and grab our packs. We scurried to the left watching the bears every movement. As soon as we were close to the bags, the bear looked straight at me, stood up and walked towards me and Don. I felt fear at this moment. At this point Don made a joke. Wrong timing but funny now. He said that he heard you do not need to outrun a bear you just need to outrun your friend to survive a bear attack. LOL huh? Well we scurried to the right and were trapped between the river and the path where the bear was. The fear hit Don at this point and he started yelling over and over, "we are dead, We are dead!". Mike yelled that we are not dead but we need to "play dead" in the river. I told Don and Mike that we need to make a plan. We either fight the bear or jump in the river, either way we knew we did not have much of a chance to survive. The bear started to tear apart our bags. We decided to fight the bear if needs be. Mike grabbed two large tree branches and handed one to Don. I had some police Oleo resin capsicum (pepper spray) that I brought just for bears, just in case. We were all shaking in fear as the bear looked our way. An overwhelming fear came over me and I heard a jet boat coming up the river. Mike waved the jet boat down. The jet boat was full of river fishing guides and they were all packing 45 colts. We jumped on the boat as fast as Stacie jumps on the bed after scaring herself that someone is following her. Sorry I had to add an inside joke. Anyways the guides got off the boat and shot and killed the bear. A second bigger bear arrived as well and the guides shot and killed that one as well but it ran off and was not found. As everybody knows I am a cop and I have been in many fights with prisoners. I have dealt with knives, guns etc.. and I have never been more scared than this episode with the black bear that could have killed us all. See ya.

Sunday fun.

This is sweet Victoria. Kevin's nephew Stetson and his wife Natalie's baby. I just love her and as you can tell so do my kiddies. They will not let her go. They are all baby hogs.

Stetson, pick on someone your own size.

Providence Hall!

Kee'Onu started fourth grade, and Ku'uipo started second grade at Providence Hall in Herriman.
I love their uniforms!

So I have to say that I am excited that they started school and they absolutely loved their first day. They each made friends already and they love their teachers, however I HATED the driving rush. We are about 20 minutes away from their school. I leave here at 8AM get there at about 8:20AM drop them off, (after waiting in a huge carpool line), Then drive home. I get here at about 8:50Am. Get Ke'Lao and Aja breakfast and then get them ready and then we leave again at 11:40AM. I drop him off at school at noon, then me and Aja drive back home. I may get some cleaning done--(ya right) Then at 3PM I leave again for the 20 minute drive to go and get them. They are out at 3:30PM but with the way the carpool lane was I did not even see my kids until 4:00PM. Then we got home at about 4:25PM. I drove 90 miles in one day. Kevin and I want our kids to have the best education and I feel that this school can provide that. It is a charter school in the Jordan School District. The thing that really appealed to me was the bilingual curriculum and the music program. The kids should know Spanish very well and have the opportunity to learn to play an instrument. Ku'uipo already came home singing a hola and chao song. They also wear uniforms which I guess could be a good thing. I was sad because I like the kids cute clothes and all, but now I think the uniforms are stinkin cute also. Well lets hope I can find someone to carpool with or that gas prices go way down.
